What is it? Lying figure
Where? The streets of Silent Hill, Apartment building and the Historical
Society Building.
This is the first enemy you will see in Silent Hill. They can be either
walking or crawling/sliding along the ground. Their main attack is
to throw up all over James, in some kind of acid attack. They also
bite at his heels while they're on the ground.
Weapon of choice: Wooden Plank or Handgun. |

is it? Roach
Where? Streets of Silent Hill and most indoor areas.
Not unlike the first incarnation of the raoch, this insect does a
slight amount of damage by attacking James' feet.

What is it? Mannequin
Where? Streets of Silent Hill, Apartment building, Hospital and Hotel.
Easily avoided and slow, this is one of the least dangerous enemies
in Silent Hill. Although it can pack quite a punch if you get too
close.
Weapon of choice: Handgun |
What is it? Mandarin
Where? Various parts of Silent Hill and the buildings, only where
the floor is chicken wire.
This enemy is the rarest to be seen in this town. It hangs from beneath
the chicken wire floor and uses knife-like weapons that protrude from
it's strangly shaped arms.
Weapon of choice: Easily avoided on foot, if you want to kill it,
use the Shotgun. |

What is it? Bubble head nurse
Where? The hospital and the dark streets of Silent Hill.
They have returned, this time meaner than ever. Possesed, once again,
by an alien life form attacked to their backs, they now wield long
walking canes.
Usually travelling in packs of 3, these girls sure do deliver a lot
of damage.
Weapon of choice: Handgun or shotgun. |

it? Caged Hangman
Where? The hospital
You only see these guys once during James' search, but they're mentionable
just because of their difficulty. Strangling you with their own feet,
these guys are hanging inside of a metal cage. Their movement is restricted,
but they're fast and they are dangerous.

What is it? Doorman
Where? Silent Hill Historial Society and the Hotel.
These guys aren't very common either, but they deliver a lot of damage
and are quite difficult to kill. The noise they make is also quite
scary, a deep growling as if they're calling out for James...
We first see him in a room with Angela, the representative incarnation
of her abusive father.
