The chainsaw is a very effective weapon if used correctly BUT it uses fuel, which the rockdrill also uses, so you can't use both. BE CAREFUL, once you have combined the two items (either rockdrill and fuel or chainsaw and fuel) you can not use the other item.

The location of the chainsaw is on the section of the city you reach after completing the School. It is along one of the main roads, (Bloch Street), in a store with a broken window. You cant not pick it up without first picking up the fuel.


Be careful when using the chainsaw, too, because it starts slow and, if you're attacked, it stops. One very good thing is that you can walk while using it, making is effective against the Nurse enemies and the Children.
